Sr. Business Analyst
Job Purpose
The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting effective decision-making through data analysis and business insights for CEO - Business Integration, Group Chairman's office. The role will involve reviewing and analyzing key business metrics to devise plans for improvement, identify key trends, and provide suitable recommendations to the stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Problem Solving, Prioritize tasks, Analytical models, Cost Benefit Analysis, Process and Tech savviness, RCA and CAPA ability, Assist in Research Analysis, Relate to Business Objective, Track progress to KRAs for CEO-BI and team, Assist CEO-BI with effective GCMO Operating Model
- Proactive thought leadership through data analysis and insights
- Conceptualize and partner in implementation of frameworks for complex business solutions
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to the organization's business operations. Use statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by establishing data quality standards, implementing data governance processes, and conducting regular audits. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data collection and storage methods.
- Data mining, sense-making for simple dashboards
- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing analysis findings and recommendations. Present complex data in a clear and concise manner to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, commercial, operations, and IT, to gather data, align objectives, and support decision-making processes. Act as a liaison between the CEO's Office and other departments.
- Business Performance Analysis & Financial Analysis: Business Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on business performance to the CEO. Identify areas of improvement or concern and recommend appropriate actions.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the financial health of the organization, including revenue, costs, profitability, and cash flow. Provide recommendations for optimizing financial performance.
- Market / Industry Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences. Analyze data to support strategic decision-making and business development opportunities.
- Project Evaluation: Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of proposed projects or initiatives by conducting cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and ROI calculations. Provide recommendations to the Chairman based on findings.
- Process and Technology Augmentation / Enhancements: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and business intelligence. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions. Familiarity with six sigma, DMAIC and other quality tools.
Educational Qualifications
- MBA from Premium Institutes
- Bachelor in Science / Engineering
Relevant and Total years of Experience
- 10 to 12 years in industry or business consulting roles (Big4 preferred)
Key Skills / Competencies
- Working knowledge of Visualization BI tools like Tableau and Excel Pivots
- Proficient in methodologies like Agile Business Analysis, Six Sigma,
- Sound communication skills and stakeholder/change management
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle ambiguity
- Proficiency in problem solving tools including RCA and CAPA
- Ability to crunch data (e.g., for CBA, TOC) using basic modelling tools
- Familiarity with project management toolkit
- Business acumen to relate to KRAs and prioritization and MIS data
- Ability to conceptualize frameworks and business operating models
