Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Utilize a deep understanding of business objectives, issues, and root causes to provide insightful, fact-based data analysis for complex problem-solving.
- Assist in creating financial models, researching, and analyzing trends, leading indicators, and business statistics.
- Extract, aggregate, and analyze financial data and performance metrics; present findings for management review.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and business partners to align on priorities and drive effective solutions.
- Communicate compelling arguments based on facts and data, securing necessary buy-in to achieve business objectives.
- Build working relationships with business management and partners, supporting key priorities through complex analytics.
Strategic Planning and Initiatives:
- Support management in developing strategies and initiatives to drive growth and margin improvements.
- Execute strategic initiatives such as project launches, market entry, and process improvement efforts.
- Perform research and leverage internal and external data for business case development.
- Maintain awareness of economic, competitive, business, and financial conditions.
Operating Planning and Forecasting:
- Assist management in creating an annual operating plan aligned with the strategic plan.
- Perform forecasting to provide visibility into business results and support decision-making.
- Conduct business analysis for operating planning and forecasting, incorporating received guidance.
Financial Operational Policy:
- Establish and maintain consistent financial operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial operational policies such as Loss Reporting/Technical Lost Business and recommend modifications as needed.
Talent Development and Management:
- Build short- and long-term capabilities.
- Take initiative on personal development and collaborate with managers to meet training requirements.
- Share skills and knowledge with colleagues, develop others, and coach junior associates.
- Management Reporting and Financial Close Activities
- Produce and distribute recurring and ad hoc management reports.
- Ensure financial reporting accuracy and maintain an adequate control environment in collaboration with process owners.
- Leverage recurring and ad hoc management reports to identify trends, support business cases, and understand opportunities and risks.
Liaison and Benchmarking:
- Coordinate with other functional departments to ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting disclosures.
- Benchmark financial reporting disclosures against competitors.
- Develop and utilize analytical reports to assist with understanding and validation.
Financial Information Delivery:
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial information, including the analysis and reporting of financial activities.
- Conduct and document financial reporting activities.
Project Support:
- Assist in various projects as a key team member to meet the objectives of the team, department, and organization.
- Engage in financial modeling, analysis, valuations, and due diligence.
- Prepare and deliver management presentations and write information memorandums and Board approval justifications.
Industry Knowledge:
- Stay informed on developments in infrastructure technology, regulations, business, finance, and economic theory.
- Monitor economic, industrial, and corporate developments through analysis of information from various sources.
