Role : Senior Business Analyst
Location : Chennai
Years of experience : 7-12 years (Minimum 5-7 years as BA for capital markets)
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Small IT enhancement management
- Improve or modify an existing functionality
- Implement new business needs (functionality or technical evolution)
- Analysis,BRD, UAT, User training
- Bugs / Queries management
- Declare a bug on an existing functionality
- General questions or investigation/research
- Need of IT intervention on production (referential update.)
- Platform incident follow up : Any major dysfunction found in production affecting the availability of an application or its connectivity to the other platforms.
- Follow and coordinate the IT or production incidents until resolution by giving regular updates and communicating regularly with the users impacted
- Answer the emails arriving on the generic mail box of the Business Support team with re-activity.
- Communicate with operational users about the updates and new functionalities delivered after a Release with a dedicated training session or specific documentation
- Strong influencing/negotiating skills and stake holder management
- Act as an individual contributor, SME and mentor the team of Business Analysts in problem resolution / building solution
- Project management responsibilities to plan and manage the schedule, project deliverables and to manage the stakeholders
- Participate actively to monthly meeting between Operations and IT, giving updates on pending requests and prioritizing the requests based on their criticality
- Participate to the maintenance and update of the Engineering documentation
Knowledge and skills required :
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the investment fund industry (Securities Services, Asset Management,Transfer Agent, Fund Administration) or in the investment banking industry with a minimum of which 5+ years as a Business Analyst
- Good knowledge of the financial markets and OTC derivatives products
- Calypso application knowledge will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of the Middle Office environment and in particular trade processing
- A good knowledge of a major software (Calypso, Summit, Murex, Sophis.) would be appreciated
- Good time management skills with ability to cope with deadlines and multiple tasks
- PC literate with good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word, Visio and PowerPoint
- Numerate, organized and articulate
