Senior Brand Manager
- As a team player in the organisation, the Senior Brand Manager position has a real impact on client success. The person responsible for developing strategic plans, managing account teams and the execution of client PR programs.
- The AM also plays a more active role in supporting business development and agency marketing activities working under the direction of the Associate Director of accounts/Account Director.
Role & Responsibilities :
Performance leadership :
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategies/creative platforms and concepts that simultaneously leverage traditional and social media for clients
- Independently develop and oversee development of media strategy documents, goals, media targets, pitch angles and media materials, thereby reflect in-depth knowledge of clients- top-tier media, communications objectives and desired outcomes
- Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities, trends and potential issues that may impact clients- business and/or communications programs, and recommend appropriate actions
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills
- Maintain regular client contact providing counsel on strategic matters and prospect information; potentially serve as the senior contact for the client on smaller assignments
- Assist senior team management through the development of client counsel memos, long-term strategic client plans and recommendations, as needed
- Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership on account issues
- Serve as day-to-day - go-to- client contact in all matters related to program execution.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in digital communications
Workplace leadership :
- Serve as a day-to-day team leader to mentor team members through direction, suggestions on issue resolution and identifying opportunities for team members professional development
- Actively contribute regular performance feedback to junior staff and provide coaching on day-to-day execution of assignments, provide feedback for employee performance reviews
- Develops personal leadership by being learning focused, proactive and adaptable to change
- Demonstrate ability to anticipate client and team needs, instilling a sense of confidence
- Provide status and client updates to senior account leadership
- Demonstrate exceptional management skills including mobilizing and motivating teams
- Attend agency staff meetings and group meetings, as well as appropriate L&D sessions
Operational Leadership :
- Work with senior leads to manage team resources and expenses to ensure account profitability
- Ensure that all client and organizational SOP's and policies are adhered to and that work flows in a systematic manner
- Track/enter time with daily precision and submit expense reports in a timely manner; ensure account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines
Strategic Leadership :
- Solid team player. Work effectively with team members in-market and across the network; foster solid intercompany relations as relevant
- Participate in agency leadership opportunities and assist with new business, as needed
- Focus team on delivering goals and ensure that business targets are achieved
- Demonstrate fundamental understanding of the business of agency; communicate and promote the agency internally and externally
Skills and Capabilities :
- Minimum 5 years experience working as part of a dynamic public relations team working directly with clients in an agency (must)
- Experience in product launches, collateral development, and strong media relations
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with key clients and stakeholders
- An out the box thinker who finds new and improved ways of delivering mundane tasks and bridging gaps in client delivery
- Highly creative and strategic; ability to generate ideas and execute them
- High degree of enthusiasm combined with a problem solver mentality
- Advanced knowledge of what is newsworthy and relevant
- A self starter who had proven capability to work under stressful conditions is a go getter
