Senior Auditor - CA - Chemical Manufacturing

Job Summary :

- The Senior Auditor will support the activities of the global Business Assurance function, which performs independent and objective assessments of business activities and related controls and provides consultative support to internal business partners. The right individual will have a strong background in accounting and specialized skills in auditing business processes, systems and underlying controls along with solid business judgment and a focused and pragmatic approach.

- This position will be based out of Mumbai and will require up to 20% travel, including some international travel (primarily within Asia), and will report directly to the Global Head of Business Assurance based in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Perform financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits

- Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.

- Conduct testing of SOX controls, including detailed test of design, test of effectiveness, and substantive testing

- Identify and document risk areas, weaknesses and improvement opportunities in business processes

- Align with process owners on audit findings and audit recommendations.

- Prepare written findings, and facilitate business responses and action items.

- Complete and deliver audits and assignments with a high level of quality and professionalism

- Develop and execute audit program data analytics

- Manage global internal controls and audit software

- Cultivate strong relationships across the organization

- Assist with ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed

- Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards

Required Experience :

- Chartered Accountant Certification, CIA/CISA certification a plus

- 2-6 years of experience in Internal/ External Audit or SOX Testing, preferably in a USA based multinational Company or one of the Big 4 audit firms

- Experience using data analytics in an audit environment

- Understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting environments

- Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance in India

- SAP experience

- Experience testing process, IT general and application controls
