Senior Associate/Vice President - Investments - Commodity Trade Industry

The firm is looking for a Sr. Associate / VP to work directly with the senior team who are well known and respected in the Commodity Trade industry. The new hire will learn every aspect of this multi-platform business, a wonderful opportunity to join a firm with a diversified growth strategy. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Fund purpose: create an ecosystem of companies around the circular economy.

- KRA: we have 40-50 opportunities of which 2 deals are live. Candidate is expected to convert opportunities to live deals and increase the deal flow pipeline and run the weekly investment committee meeting.

- Researching and analyzing possible acquisitions for the firm

- Modeling and helping to write memoranda for the board and investors

- Analyzing and modeling assigned current portfolios

- Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of Managing Directors

- Management, training and stewardship of analysts and/or associates

- Leading pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documents

- Assisting in thoughtfully identifying appropriate investors and/or strategic and financial buyers

- Managing and executing on buyer interaction, transaction due diligence, etc.

- Review and oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses, research

- Maintain strong relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels

- Demonstrate a commitment to the group's success on new opportunities, mandates and overall growth

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

- Competent at in-depth financial analysis

- Quantitative and detail oriented

- Excellent financial modeling skills

- Ability to write investment memoranda

- Ability to lead transactions and liaise with third parties and management teams

- Outstanding communication skill - written and verbal

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to delegate and supervise work for associates

- Understanding of M&A, securitization, capital markets and accounting

- Able to deliver results under tight deadlines and at times with minimal direct supervision

- Experience working with specialty finance firms is a PLUS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Academic background: Any Graduate/Postgraduate

- Completion of a Bulge Bracket Analyst Program and / or buy-side deal experience is a MUST

- Experience: 5-10 years investment activity.
