VAT implementation and Audit Senior Associate

- One CA firm is looking to recruit for candidates at various levels associate to manager, to be based in Bahrain. The VAT Manager will lead the Indirect Tax Team in the country on delivering engagements across VAT implementation and Advisory led projects

- In addition, you will also develop the market, head up new business initiatives and Manage a newly formed VAT team To be considered for this role you must have led VAT/ GST implementation projects, in particular if you have experience in new Indirect Tax regimes

- You must also have worked for (or are coming directly from) an International Advisory firm (Top 10/ Big4 preferred) at a Management level and understand the dynamics and challenges associated with that It is assumed that you will have approximately 1 to 5 years dedicated VAT experience along with a strong academic background and the ability to work fluently in English

- Assume responsibility of audit and assurance engagements and contribute to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel. Be responsible for the preparation of audit strategy and business plans, setting budgets etc

- Support in performing risk assessments and develop internal audit plan for internal audit clients

- Plans and performs detailed audit fieldwork in accordance with approved internal audit process covering audit scope, program, resources and audit techniques and documents results of detailed audit field work conducted

- Analyses and assesses audit risks and findings, ensures adequacy of underlying evidences and working paper files obtained, develops appropriate and practical recommendations and discusses with the Team Leader and the auditee divisions.
