Senior Associate - Tax Reporting - BFS

Job Responsibilities :

- Preparing federal and state tax returns and extensions for funds set up as RIC's and as Partnerships, based on the funds' annual financial statements, year-end tax provisions, and other supporting documentation.

- Also responsible for making changes as recommended by the reviewer and / or the funds' auditors, and ensuring that the forms are complete and ready for filing with the IRS or applicable federal or state agency.

- Also responsible for ensuring that the funds' have met spillback dividend requirements. Completes ongoing quarterly IRS diversification testing for funds, under Internal Revenue Code Sections 851 (and also Section 817(h) for Variable Products).

- Also responsible for making changes as recommended by the reviewer and / or the funds' auditors, and ensuring that the tests are complete.

- Assist with ad hoc requests and or projects from within team, other departments, portfolio managers and external auditors.

- Potential merger analysis, fund liquidations, launching of new products, etc.

- Ongoing monitoring of funds- tax policies. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
