Senior Associate/Manager - Frontend Investment Banking - PE/VC - CA/IIMs/ISB/XLRI/JBIMS/SPJIMR

A reputed Indian investment bank with a global focus is looking to add a Senior Associate/Manager (PE/VC focus) to its Mumbai practice.

The ideal candidate would have 5 - 10 years of Investment banking experience (equity only).

This is a front-end investment banking role with a focus on equity fund-raising from VC/PE funds.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Collateral preparation including detailed financial models, information memorandum, valuations, pitchdecks, etc.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models from scratch on private companies based on company information, past financial statements and industry-specific operating metrics

- Conduct valuations based on DCF, comps and sector specific valuation methodologies

- Management of the syndication process and initial term sheets discussions

- Independent coordination of due diligence process

- Advising on definitive agreements (share purchase agreements, share subscription agreement, etc.)

- Researching different sectors and develop investment thesis to form a view on sectors/ segments that are likely to do well in future along with appropriate rationale and pursue such sectors to identify BD opportunities

- Originating and cultivating relationships with clients, prospective clients and investors

Qualifications and Skills:

- Qualified CA or MBA from IIMs/ISB/XLRI/JBIMS/SPJIMR or similar Bschools

- Extensive experience in financial modelling and equity valuations for private/unlisted companies

- Deep accounting (Indian context) and financial statement analysis skills

- Ability to synthesize and manage complex, interlinked excel spreadsheets

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills

- Good communication skills, written and verbal

- Attention to detail

- Should be capable of multi-tasking and handling projects with tight deadlines
