1. JOB PURPOSE

The general purpose of the position is as follows :

- To maintain an oversight on compliance to the circulars and guidelines issued by NPCI to its members/participants in the ecosystem

- Undertake enforcement action on non-compliant members through notices, penalty, temporary suspension of services and other action as per policy guidelines

- To ensure that the frontline units act as the first line of defense towards implementation of the circulars/ guidelines and escalate pending matters to Surveillance & Enforcement (S&E) unit

- Continuously monitor the status of corrective action taken by members/participants

- To work with technology / project teams to automate existing processes to improve efficiency

- Review and improve the standards of surveillance and enforcement process based on inputs from management and ecosystem players

- Engagement of vendors with technical expertise to track adherence to various directives by participants.

- Handling audit requirements of the unit and ensuring compliance to RBI regulations and the internal policy and procedural guidelines of the company while discharging responsibilities

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliance to directives through engagement and enforcement process

- To maintain details of all the correspondences done with the members/ participants and updating / reporting the progress in the weekly tracker published by the unit

- To develop offsite monitoring system capability and create compliance report cards for all ecosystem players based on measurable indicators

- To continuously review and update the compliance checklist at product level based on release of circulars and guidelines by product, operations, and risk teams

- Prepare and submit updates to the risk committee and the board on the action taken to ensure compliance

- Conduct annual review of compliance across products and present to the management/board the key

findings

- Engage with vendors / consultants and build solutions to automate monitoring of compliance standards

Experience / Skills required:

- Industry experience with minimum of 5-7 years in the areas of auditing and compliance function

- Candidate should be excellent in drafting reports, policies, and procedures

- Should possess analytical, presentation and communication skill.

- Exposure in payment products would be preferred
