Senior Associate - Finance & Accounts (Inventory)


Job Title: Senior Associate - Finance & Accounts

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

- Manage inventory accounting, including stock valuation, cost allocation, and reconciliation.

- Handle payments, vendor reconciliations, and timely settlement of invoices.

- Maintain strong banking relationships and ensure seamless fund transfers.

- Assist in treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and working capital management.

- Ensure month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including expense accounting and reconciliations.

- Process payroll, statutory deductions, and ensure adherence to labor laws.

- Prepare and file GST returns, ensuring compliance with taxation regulations.

- Handle TDS & TCS calculations, deductions, and timely filing as per tax laws.

- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

- Develop financial reports, MIS reports, and dashboards for senior management.

- Optimize inventory control processes to minimize financial risk and improve operational efficiency.

Key Result Areas (KRA):

- Accuracy in inventory accounting and reconciliation.

- Timely processing of payments and vendor settlements.

- Efficient cash flow and working capital management.

- Compliance with taxation laws, including GST, TDS, and TCS.

- Successful month-end and year-end financial closure.

- Error-free payroll processing and compliance with labor laws.

- Effective audit support with minimal discrepancies.

- Optimization of financial processes and cost control measures.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of finance, accounts, and inventory management.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

- Expertise in GST, TDS, TCS, and other taxation laws.

- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliation, and cash flow management.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / CA / MBA (Finance) / CMA with 4-8 years of experience in finance & accounts, specifically in inventory accounting.
