Senior Associate (AVP) - Research Preparation
The following position is for one of our top clients, a leading global investment bank's Investment Research Centre of Excellence based in Mumbai.
We Have Multiple Openings For AVP Research Preparation Across the following Sectors:
Industrial Tech and Mobility
Commodities
Natural Resources and Climate Tech
Rates and Structured Products
Consumer
Role and Responsibilities:
- The Associate - Research Preparation will report to will report to one of the above mentioned Sector heads and will work with multiple onshore analysts across regions to deliver short to medium term research preparation projects (developing eye catching reports with excellent charts, graphs, figures and infographics).
- The Mumbai team will work towards coverage of companies in Industrial Tech and Mobility, Commodities, Natural Resources and Climate Tech, Rates and Structured Products Or Consumer sectors by extending coverage and developing best in class differentiated research on the street. the research preparation associate will work towards this goal by developing striking visuals which lead to high click through/readership of research documents.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Develop delightful charts, graphs, tables, figures, high quality images, models, infographics and other visual elements as part of Research content development largely in Word or PowerPoint.
- Handle coverage for Publications which is currently managed by the Global Publications team.
- Check formatting and appearance of all documents to ensure that they are consistent with the Company's styles and that they are as 'reader friendly' as possible.
- Process documents in a timely manner, prioritizing according to product type.
- Organize hard copy research requirements by liaising with print and distribution vendors and setting deadlines.
- Compile daily and weekly products.
- Monitor research to ensure it is appearing correctly on external vendors
- Trouble-shooting any issues with formatting or distribution
Education:
Degree in any stream. Certification in animation or editing will be preferred.
Experience : 3-4 years of Publications/Infographics experience. Equity research production experience is preferred. Good understanding of desktop publishing and research distribution is preferred.
Skills :
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools like PowerBI/Tableau/R.
- Proactive imagination skills - to be able to suggest delightful/industry leading data representation/storyboarding ideas rather than be instruction-led.
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with colleagues across the globe.
- Excellent verbal, comprehension and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and precisely summarize issues.
- Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, in a team environment.
- The candidate should be a pragmatic "self-starter" - someone who can work both independently or as part of a team.
- The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills and a can do attitude willing to take on responsibility at an early stage.
