Roles and responsibilities:
Employ traditional and leading edge valuation methodologies relevant to different valuation contexts such as business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocations, financial instrument valuation and dispute valuations
Conduct in-depth client, economic, industry and competitor research
Perform analysis of financial and operational performance
Independently build financial models commensurate to the different type of assignments
Prepare high quality valuation reports, information memorandums and other client deliverables
Assist in pursuing relevant engagement opportunities by preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients
Lead and manage work streams
Coach and develop junior team members
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business from an accredited college/university
Professional qualification MBA in Finance, CFA, CA, ACCA, CVA, CPA or equivalent is preferred
Experience and Background
3-4 years of experience acquired in a valuation practice within an accounting firm, professional services firm, bank or private equity house
Financial analysis and financial modelling skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
Ability to prioritize and manage a multitude of projects simultaneously under tight timelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Excellent knowledge of valuation concepts, methodology and techniques
Knowledge of financial accounting, good understanding of IFRS
Strong analytical skills, numeracy, ability to structure large amounts of data, advanced research skills
