Position Title - Credit Rating Analyst - Structured Finance

Department - Ratings

Location - Mumbai

Nature of Work - Regular work-from-office

Job Purpose

The role is primarily responsible for assessing the worthiness of companies through analyzing financial statements and preparing ratings report

The role provides subject matter expertise to the team and is responsible for handling complex reports

Contributing to Research

Key Responsibilities

- Analyzing financial statements, performance and trend analysis for assessing the creditworthiness of the company.

- Independently handling rating assignments for entities of varying sizes and preparing reports and rationale for the assigned ratings

- Preparing rating report by including the profile of the rated company, key rating considerations, credit risk assessment, ratio analysis like proficiency, turnover & solvency, financial projection/modelling, operational & industry analysis

- Adhering to standard operating procedures & policies

- Researching the industry in which the company is operating and keeping track of the performance of the industry as a whole

- Analyzing the business model, identifying strengths, weakness, and risks, understanding the revenue models and the corporate structure of the businesses

- Ensuring quality check of the work deliverables

- Assist senior analysts in areas related to credit evaluation and monitoring

- Guiding peers

Qualifications and Functional Competencies

- Preferably a CA (1st Attempt), or an MBA from Tier 1 /2 /3 with experience in Mid / large corporate.

- Senior Analyst role 2 to 5 years experience in analyzing

- Ability to understand the business of clients

- Ability to analyze financial statements

- Good understanding of the financial and banking sector

- Analytical bent of mind

- Ability to create impact through the expertise

- Interpersonal skills

- Good report-writing skills

- Good communication skills
