POSITION: Sr. Manager - Accounts

LOCATION: Mumbai

SALARY: 20 - 35 Lpa

EXPERIENCE: 7 - 10 yrs

QUALIFICATION: CA Mandatory

DESCRIPTION:

- Coordinate with local accounting firm and US teams to have the financial statements up to date each month.

- Make sure we are compliant with local accounting, tax and legal requirements at all times.

- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.

- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

- Establish strategy and direction in alignment with strategic plans established by top management and executive leadership.

- Ensure people, systems, processes, procedures, and metrics are in place to meet both annual and long-term objectives.

- Build vision for accomplishment of objectives

- Estimate, forecast, and anticipate trends to develop budget for organizational level.

- Monitor monthly budget vs. actual reports to ensure non-business justified over-runs are held to a minimum.

- Create and implement changes to business processes, systems, and organizational structure to improve efficiencies.

- Communicate information and policies from top management to lower management.

- Develop and/or implement systems to measure and report effectiveness of functional plans and programs and accomplishment of objectives. Reports to senior management.

- Build a culture focused on high performance, continuous improvement and customer service that operates in partnership with business operations.

- Ensure open, respectful, and collaborative cross-departmental communication among direct reports, their departments, and the rest of the organization.

- Recommend improvements to senior management.

PREFERENCE:

- Local India GAAP Accounting, Financial Statements as per Ind AS

- US GAAP Adjustments

- Local TDS (Withholding tax), Corporate Tax

- Transfer Pricing

- Indirect Tax - GST returns and refunds

- Accounting function set up

- Finance Transformation (Preferred but not essential)

SKILLS:

- Experience being in charge of local operations for a foreign entity.

- Experience in real estate, preferably rental properties

- Proficiency with Yardi preferred
