Job Title: Sr. Assistant Vice President, Life & Annuity Operations
Reports to: Vice President, Operations
Job Purpose: The Sr Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Life & Annuity & Annuity Operations will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the Life & Annuity & Annuity teams. The Sr. AVP will work closely with other departments to ensure that all aspects of Life & Annuity operations are effectively managed and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Life & Annuity & Annuity team, including transaction processing, customer service, and quality control
2. Ensure that all processing is completed in a timely and accurate manner, with a focus on meeting or exceeding service level agreements
3. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and streamline processes
4. Work closely with the team and leadership of Life & Annuity Operations to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives
5. Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and to make data-driven decisions
6. Manage and develop a team of operations professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
7. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including product, marketing, and sales teams, to ensure that operational needs are met
8. Liaise with external partners, including vendors, regulators, and auditors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
2. Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in operations, with a focus on Life & Annuity or similar products
3. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of professionals
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
5. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to drive business decisions
6. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
