Senior Architect - Linux/Unix

We have an opportunity for a Senior Architect - Linux/Unix for one of our MNC client in Pune.

Description

- Design production system architecture

- Ensure production system stability and availability

- Plan and deploy production systems, migration or upgrade

- System debugging and performance tuning

- Train junior engineers and teammates

- Disaster recovery design, implementation and support

- Lead the team

Technical Skills

UNIX / Linux Admin

- 10+ years - experience in Unix (Oracle, AIX,HP UNIX) / Linux servers deployment.

- Should have extensive experience in one or two UNIX flavors but should have ability to pick any other too

- Should have industry standard certifications

- Administration and troubleshooting skills of UNIX Operating System (AIX/Solaris/Linux)

- Strong knowledge and Concept on OS Kernel, Storage and Network

- Strong operating system administration, tuning and trouble shooting skills

- Good knowledge of RAID Levels such as RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-1+0, RAID-5

- Configuring EMC/Hitachi LUNs on UNIX (AIX/Solaris/Linux) servers.

- Understating of LVM/SVM

- Understanding of multipath concept and its implementation as well

- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX server equipment, disk arrays, tape libraries, virtual tape libraries and terminal servers.

- Provide data protection, recovery and business continuity; test and validate disaster recovery and business continuity methods in UNIX environment.

- Perform routine backup and recovery for data protection

- Implement high availability solutions for the UNIX environment

- Shell scripting and/or Perl scripting experience for automation of tasks / jobs

- Extensive knowledge and experience in supporting and troubleshooting Solaris networking services and protocols

- Ensure proactive monitoring for high availability, System data protection, backup and restore, UNIX central authentication, user account management, disk storage management, hardware and OS maintenance, and application maintenance.

- Logical Volume Management and troubleshooting related issues.

- SSH key management between Windows and Linux.

- Good Understanding about SSL.

- Experience on Redhat Linux Clustering

- Work experience in Banking and Financial domain is a plus

- Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities

- Proven experience in managing and building relationship with business partners and customer service
