Role Summary/Purpose:
Provide Credit Risk Management reporting and analysis for assigned portfolio with primary accountability for identifying and managing consumer credit risk, across all components of the cardholder life-cycle through data gathering and analytics. Support and interact with Verizon client teams, and work cross functionally with key stakeholders of company.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work closely with retail client to minimize both company and the retailer's risk, while continuing to grow the portfolio
- Design enhanced surveillance processes to monitor and control credit exposure
- Provide reporting and analysis to ensure credit strategies are performing as expected
- Prepare and present client facing and leadership team presentations to facilitate informed decisions
- Investigate and resolve various customer and client issues
- Work effectively cross-functionally to drive smart growth and client satisfaction delivering safety and soundness in the portfolio
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk or Analytics role
- 2+ year Working experience in Excel, SAS, SQL or other related analytic tools
- Strong proficiency in data analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, highly comfortable working in a quantitative environment.
- Ability to accurately condense large amounts of information and present in a simple, cogent manner to senior level management and clients.
Desired Characteristics:
- Familiar with Synchrony's Data warehouse tables (CDCI, RDG)
- Advanced experience with SAS/SQL or other related analytic tools.
- Experience operating as part of a cross functional team.
- Familiarity with consumer lending products and practices
