Senior Analyst/Manager - Pricing/Valuation

Primary responsibilities include:

- developing and enhancing existing valuation models across asset classes in excel with the goal of having the same automated on the pricing platform.

- understanding the intricacies of various valuation methodologies and documenting the same as required.

- completely owning the process of daily and month-end pricing of specific asset classes.

- investigating and resolving any valuation differences raised by FO and/or the collateral team; coordinating with other teams toward resolution of issues by effectively analyzing the cause and effects, and managing stakeholder expectations.

- evaluating new data vendors for accuracy and coverage and doing a cost benefit analysis.

- analyzing the scope and feasibility of requirements from new clients.

- actively contributing to onboarding of new clients and demonstrating detailed understanding of processes and business.

- liaising with the technology teams for enhancements; providing technical specifications keeping the strategic goals in perspective; prioritizing and testing new features prior to production roll-out.

- staying abreast of global financial happenings and industry-best practices to proactively align the processes.

The ideal candidate must be an MFE/MBA(Finance)/CFA/CA or of equivalent qualification with minimum 3 years of prior work experience in the valuations domain for hedge funds/investment banks and familiarity with different asset classes (equity, rates, credit, FX and commodities) with expertise in at least one of the above (rates and/or FX is preferred). The candidate should possess in-depth domain/finance knowledge, financial modeling skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of VBA, Monte Carlo simulations in order to use them in developing financial models and a drive to enhance the efficiency of processes and strong communication and collaboration skills are a prerequisite along with proficiency in MS Excel.
