Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst - Asset Backed Strategies - CLO Research

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

In this role, you will support the front office in conducting comprehensive research and in-depth analysis of CLO structures, including tranche performance, collateral quality, and cash flow modeling. This includes, but is not limited to, developing bespoke financial models, performing data and investment analysis, conducting relative value analysis for potential investment opportunities in CLOs, generating innovative research ideas related to CLOs, and effectively working with the trading desk to execute them. Additionally, you will be required to conduct detailed credit analysis of CLOs in both new issue and secondary markets, monitor and evaluate the performance of existing CLO investments, and provide timely recommendations to the desk based on market events and internal risk assessments. Furthermore, you will be required to interpret the legal language across various CLO indentures and offer documents to understand covenants related to the deal and the underlying asset pool. Experience in CLO structuring will be an added advantage.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Basic Qualifications:

- A master's degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

- At least 7 years of experience in financial research or analysis, with a strong focus on CLOs or structured finance

- The ability to generate research ideas and convert them into actionable investment strategies

- Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, with experience in financial software and databases such as Bloomberg, Intex, or similar tools

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- A proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- A CFA designation, or progress towards obtaining the CFA charter

- The ability to work with coding languages like Python for financial and data analysis
