Senior Analyst - Indirect Taxation - Indian Accounting - Corporate Finance (service industry)
MANDATE: CA/MBA Finance regular, POQ minmum 2 years in Service, Retail Industry. NO MANUFACTURING, Indirect Taxation with INDIAN ACCOUNTING (must). Internal Corporate Finance role. NO 3rd Party/ Shared Service role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing support and leverage in managing the tax and other regulatory compliances. Responsible for timely and accurate compliances of Indirect tax and Corporate Tax. Also providing direction to the other team members on operational matters.
Specific responsibilities include:
Tax related:
- Be part of the team that assesses the impact of GST rollout on business, understanding incremental compliance for the company, works on GST readiness of the company before go live.
- Will be responsible for end to end GST compliance
- Indirect tax returns relating to service tax and VAT
- Assessment, audit and compliance relating to indirect taxes
- Handling day to day tax operations
- Working with Payables team on Service tax applicability for new vendors, set processes to ensure service tax liability, input credit is captured accurately.
- Validation check on service tax liability for the month before payment. Updating and maintenance of Input credit register
- SEIS and EPCG related compliances
Assistance in corporate tax compliance:
- External stakeholder management - tax accounting firms
- Team - ensuring morale, knowledge building and efficient process flow
- Risk management of the office - ensuring internal reviews are carried out efficiently and
observations are addressed
Basic Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant
- 4 to 5 years post qualification experience
- Hands on experience in handling taxation related compliances in a company preferably from Services industry.
- Leads a team of 1+ person.
Skills & Attributes:
- Individual must be willing to take a hands on approach and also be able to excel in a large Multinational company culture
- Excellent people manager
- Advanced technical skills with proficiency in desktop applications and financial systems
Extensive use of Windows and the following software applications:
- PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Outlook
- Oracle or other large financial systems environment
- Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate
- Solid business partner with the ability to dialogue, communicate at all levels
