Financial Analyst

Department Finance & Management Reporting

Managing Finance & Accounts including PnL & MIS reporting of Refined Metals business in India

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

- Mandatory

Chartered Accountants (CA)

3-5 years of experience in a financial sector and/or finance service centres with strong accounting background

Experience in Financial Statements finalisation, Managing Statutory Audits with Big 4 and closure of all regulatory reporting's with RBI/ FEMA within deadlines

Strong awareness and hands-on knowledge of iGAAP and awareness of USGAAP & IFRS

Handson knowledge of Indirect tax- Customs, Excise, VAT, CST & Service Tax

Awareness of regulatory environment wrt Permanent Establishment, FDI, FEMA and foreign holding and subsidiary structures

Experience In managing Daily Product and deal wise PnL preferably for commodities - both Ferrous and Non Ferrous

Preparation of Annual Budgets and Monthly variance Analysis

Has done Transition of Product PnL & Accounting processes end to end including Balance sheet substantiation, PnL Explanation, working of direct costs & provisions etc.,

The individual should be experienced in dealing with diverse range of stakeholders up to & including senior management and Senior Traders

Good analytical & numerical skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral & written)

Possess strong interpersonal skills

The individual must have a proven track record of the ability to work to meet deadlines in an accurate manner - this is a fundamental requirement

Well organised & can multi task

Experience in managing teams preferably of 2/3 or more

Experience of working in complex businesses

Sound Knowledge in Hedging & derivatives

Advanced knowledge and ability to work on Microsoft tools - MS Excel, Access & PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

- Management of Books of Accounts, Production of Deal wise Liquidation PnL, Mark to Market statement and analysis. Reconciliation with Books of Accounts on monthly basis. P&L compilation, P&L Analysis and commentary

- Review Risk Card, Perform Hedge effectiveness test on forward trades and stock hedges. Ensure that risk is correctly reported and explain any deviations

- Preparation and release the Financial Statements - Profit & Loss & Balance Sheet for India operations

- Current state analysis and re-engineering of P&L processes onto strategic tools

- Be able to drive and co-ordinate strategic initiatives from Delivery Centre standpoint and engaging the multiple stakeholders across the Globe

- Be a change agent by maximising efficiencies through process re-engineering

- Standardisation of P&L reporting processes- Ensuring that proper accounting standards have been used
