Senior Analyst - Credit Risk Portfolio - Python/R - Consumer Lending

A New York-based consumer lending is searching for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join their team in Chennai. This multi-faceted role will lead a team of Business oriented data analyst skilled in portfolio management, decision modeling, Scorecard modeling and providing solutions for data analysis, coding, and achieving operational efficiency.

As Credit Risk Analyst, you must have:

- 4-7 years- experience in a highly analytical role, specifically interpreting and explaining loss forecasting outputs and credit risk appetite

- Projects will include building business strategy, scorecard modelling (origination, behavior and collection models), credit risk scoring, planning and developing analytical methods for data collection, analysis, statistics and presentations

- Gather and analyze large datasets to develop acquisition, underwriting strategies for the consumer loan product

- Build out customer segmentations, as well as credit risk scorecards

- Monitor and analyze the performance of acquisition programs, assessing effectiveness

- Make suggestions to senior leadership based on your findings

Job Requirements:

- Excellent domains knowledge i.e. Financial services industry

- Prior leadership experience (project or team management)

- Have hands-on experience in credit risk, Portfolio Management, Acquisition, Underwriting analytics in the lending space

- Must have strong programming Python or R, SQL

- Hold an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline

- Have top notch communication skills and business acumen

- Are an energetic self-starter who can work both independently and in cross-functional groups
