These are roles within the actuarial modeling practice aligned specifically to the Actuarial System Team. The roles under this process support actuarial systems development activities ranging from actuarial analysis and modelling through to model testing and validation, across all components of the modeling eco-system.
Job description :
1. Validating client requirements and conceptualizing solutions to meet these requirements.
2. Independently engaging with stakeholders on development requirements and validation of modeling solution.
3. Modelling the requirements while ensuring design and build follow best practice modelling guidelines.
4. Training junior members on process responsibilities and on modeling platform specific capabilities.
5. Preparing complete documentation and audit packs supporting developments and overall model releases.
6. Ensuring process activities are consistent with defined process manuals and updating procedural manuals when necessary.
7. Responsible for the quality, relevance and accuracy of all output, whether developments or documentation.
8. Managing sub-teams and junior resources towards fulfilling process deliverables.
9. Communicating progress on activities to relevant stakeholders, tracking against plan, highlighting project risks.
Performance indicators :
1. Quality of design, developments and other process deliverables evidenced by feedback from client stakeholders and reviews from supervisors responsible for respective activities.
2. Demonstration of the values espoused by the company.
Desired Candidate Profile
Job skills/experience requirements :
Work Experience of 2-5 yrs with a Core Actuarial Team in Life Insurance
1. Actuarial paper passes or exemptions in CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4 and in CT5.
2. Ability to relate to actuarial concepts from CA1, CA2, CA3, ST2 and SA2
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Advanced modeling skills in Prophet with ability to relate requirements to techniques like Rebasing, Calculation Looping etc. when needed. Similar proficiency in other platforms can also be considered.
5. Modeling skills in DCS and MS Excel (with VBA).
6. Project management, stakeholder engagement and escalation management skills.
