Senior Analyst - Analytics Strategy Developer - Strategic Business Solutions Group - BFS

Business/Department Objectives:

- The role of Sr. Analyst - Strategic Business Solutions group is based at AIM's Bangalore Center and reports to the AVP/VP leading the team

- This position will design, drive, build and enhance analytical capabilities of GDM. Specifically, the candidate is expected to oversee and development of key actionable insights for client Commercial Bank (CCB)

Core Responsibilities:

- Understand the functioning of commercial bank through in depth understanding of business, asset and liability products (loan, trades, cash, forex-for borrowing and non-borrowing clients), cross boarder needs and underlying data to derive insights

- Develop impact insights to result in strategic action plan for each global heads, region business owners, country managers and relationship managers- sales management, global lending management, risk and operations heads

- Develop strategy to reduce the TAT for deals closures and client calls for RMs

- Tracking of Balance sheet along with identifying additional revenue opportunities through use of logical as well as statistical techniques

- Broader understanding of Commercial customers- Survey analysis and exposure to text mining and understanding impact of surveyed clients post treatments

- Consistently deliver on multiple and complex projects aligned to business priorities independently. But, simplification of underlying complex insights so as to convert them into actionable steps is the key to success

- Develop/own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems. Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems

- Creation of user friendly dashboards along with insights

- Play a pivotal role in developing commercial bank analytic competency for the CoE

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Manage very senior stakeholders (Sr. Directors, MDs) level a across the Global Bank

- Teamwork: Effectively contribute and add value to cross functional initiatives. Train and coach others in the organization. Seek to learn from other areas within the site to improve analytic approaches for the team

- Communication: Communicate and present effectively to partners and senior leadership

- Organizational Development: Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc. .

Qualifications

Required:

Education:

- Preferably a Masters in Finance, MBA(Finance), CA, CFA or a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering etc. from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates exposure to finance

Experience:

- 3-4 years Experience in Financial Services Analytics Industry

Skills:

General Skills:

- Understanding of balance sheet (preferably) or inclination to learn the business and finance to contribute further

- Strong Analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability

- Experience in Commercial Bank (preferably) or one or more financial services businesses (cards, retail bank, mortgage etc)

Communication Skills:

- Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills

- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication (verbal and written), and team skills

- Ability to adapt to short and long term business requirements

- Information systems proficiency
