Job responsibilities:
- Pricing/rating for US Commercial/Personal lines of insurance
- In-depth understanding of ISO CLMs (Insurance Services Office- Commercial Lines Manual) and Rating algorithms.
- Designing product, pricing mechanism, and respective supporting services for Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property, Inland Marine, and Crime.
- Assist actuaries with rate filings to be submitted to regulators, create actuarial support exhibits & draft memorandum & provide filing objection support.
- Involved in annual Profitability studies to support pricing decisions, and provide recommendations to the business partners & Underwriters
- Involved in implementation of the product in the system, participate in UAT to provide sign off
- Mentoring/Training the analysts on the team
- Involved in annual/quarterly reserve peer reviews- selection of development patterns, ultimate's preparing executive summary, in-depth analysis of claims data
- Involved in market studies, competitor intelligence to gain deep insight and prepare product proposals for the client
Qualifications and skills required
- Graduates or post-graduates
- 2-5 years of property and casualty (re) insurance experience in pricing or reserving
- Min 4+ exams passed as per new curriculum, not including CB3/CT9 (Compulsory- CS2 or CM2)
- Open to pursuing actuarial credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)
- Good written and verbal communication, and a team player
- SQL/VBA Experience preferred
