Customer Traits and Prediction Team (aka C-TAP) provides the intelligence that helps Vista understand their customers better through the lens of traits, segmentation or machine learning models to personalize their experience across all customer touch points.


- As part of Vista's engineering organization with strong collaboration with product organization, marketing and merchandising, C-TAP is a major thought partner to these diverse set of stakeholders and the implementation specialist for any of their foundational customer data and modeling requirements.

What You Will Do:

- As a Senior Data Product Analyst, you will use data from across the organization to support decision making for marketing and digital product optimization.


- You will assist the team to understand the evolving data around Vista customers and help generate insights that will allow C-TAP to solve customer and business problems and explore new opportunities.


- We are looking for a motivated individual embarking on their career of data analysis to help us build data products that will enable Vista to win our customers' hearts, minds, and loyalty.

Possible workstreams you might be involved in based on current ongoing work include:

Data Analysis & Insights:

- Analyze customer transaction data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancing customer experiences.

- Assess and interpret website interaction data to uncover user behavior and journey insights.

- Evaluate email campaign performance, identifying key metrics that influence engagement and conversion rates.

- Study product interaction data to determine usage patterns and opportunities for marketing initiatives.

- Leverage data to create and refine customer segmentation models, enabling personalization efforts.

- Based on the above data discovery, partner with the data scientist in the team to create new machine learning models or improve existing ones.

- Partner with data engineers in our team to build and maintain data pipelines that improves scalability and reliability of our data products

Dashboard Development:

- You will partner with business stakeholders to understand their questions and enable self-service decisions by building dashboards.

- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and tailored to the needs of marketing stakeholders.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work closely with marketing teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations that support personalized marketing strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, to ensure data integration and consistency across platforms.

- Partner with stakeholders to design and implement experiments that will allow us to improve our current data products or enable new products.

Reporting & Presentation:

- Prepare and present detailed reports on findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and marketing stakeholders.

- Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.

- Be Curious And Innovative

- You will bring novel and untested ideas to the table to constantly innovate how we define and measure success of our work for customers and the business

Your Qualifications:

- A strong education and background in in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, mathematics, BI visualization or programming

- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

- Exposure to data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau or similar.

- 2+ years experience in an analytics environment

- Compelling communication and storytelling skills (Articulate your message clearly based on your audience)

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Nice To Have:

- Experience with Statsig, Optimizely, or similar experimentation tools.

- Experience in designing/monitoring and analyzing experiments (A/B, multi-variant, Bayesian, multi-arm-bandit) using statistical rigor and being able to guide collaborators on how to accurately interpret the test results.

- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in personalization.

- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on data handling and analysis.

- Exposure to CI/CD concepts or exposure to data processing/orchestration technologies (i.e. DBT, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks)
