About the Role:
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and audits.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Provide support to other accounting team members, including training and mentoring.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills:
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills
