Senior Accountant - Fashion Industry

Position: Senior Accountant

Position Overview:

- The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and supporting the finance team in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Finalization of Accounts up to Trial Balance and preparation of Draft Balance Sheet

- Filing of Income Tax and TDS Returns and Calculation of Advance Tax

- Finalization of GST Monthly Returns and Audit

- Bookkeeping and Statutory Compliance preparation of Details required by Auditor and handling the Statutory and GST Audit

- Attending the Tax Assessments and Preparation of Required details

- Monthly Profit and Loss Accounts, MIS Reports and Expenses Analysis

- Export Documentation and Banking related work

- Cashier report cross verification with deposits, credit card settlements.

- Reconciliation of Customer Deposits and Control on Goods issued on Approval

-Scrutinizing ledger of Suppliers/debtors and Customer Deposits

- Cross Check the Stock Inwards and Purchase Bills

- Proficiency in ERP and Obtain Maximum Automated reports from ERP

- Cash/Stock Audit and Stock Valuation

Position Requirements:

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Navision, SAP etc).

- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices.

- Familiarity with ERP systems.

Experience: 8+ Years

Qualification: Master's Commerce or Inter CA or MBA in finance
