Sector Specialist - Strategic Advisory - eMobility

Our client is the Advisory team in a Consulting Setup that advises Government on various Sector specific requirements. Current role covers advisory to Government on E Mobility

Objective

- Provide advisory services to Centre and State Governments, allied entities as well as the industry, particularly in the E-mobility sector.

Responsibilities

1] Develop relations with Government departments at Centre and State level including entities involved in planning and implementation of Electric Vehicle/ E-mobility policy.

2] Manage relationships with EV industry players in India across OEM categories (2W, 3W, 4W, CV etc.), start-ups, battery & charging infrastructure & auto components and pitch business advisory/go-to-market strategies in the e-Mobility sector

3] Coordinate and lead research and advisory projects, data analysis, modeling, stakeholder outreach in the e-mobility sector.

4] Manage relationships and drive outreach programs with key industry chambers & associations, bi-lateral and multilateral bodies, investment promotion agencies, think tanks to support business development/ knowledge partnerships in the E-mobility sector for institutional positioning.

5] Build knowledge of the Government, its functioning and keep up to date / gather intelligence on government projects/ programs relating to EV policies and schemes such as NEMMP, FAME I & II, National E-Mobility Programme, State Govt. policies etc.

6] Author knowledge articles/in-house reports/research presentations on EV sector outlook and industry trends

7] Contribute to the development of banking products and solutions tailor-made for the EV industry

Essential Competencies

1] Relevant experience of at least 7-10 years - preferably in EV/auto industry/ consulting/ advisory firm (E-mobility sector)

2] Previous work experience in electric mobility, public transport, EV adoption forecast, policy analysis

3] Experience preferred in areas such as Business Analysis, Consulting, Market Research, Business Development, Transaction Advisory, Strategy Execution, Government structuring & functioning

4] Essential - Excellent communication/English language skills, interpersonal skills and teamwork

5] Decision making, problem solving & Ability to multi-task

6] Computing skills - Advanced skills in MS Office, Excel, Power point.

7] Highly customer focused & Good business acumen and strategic thinking

8] High level of integrity and attention to detail

9] Willingness to travel as and when required.

Qualifications and relevant experience :

1] MBA/Equivalent from a Tier I institute/ Engineering background, exception can be made for highly meritorious candidates

2] Relevant experience of 7-10 years desirable

3] Experience of EV/Auto sector, Government Relations, Government domain and/or consulting

4] Knowledge of Local Language depending on the location/State
