Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of sales/business development experience in international freight forwarding / logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for securing new customers for Ocean / Air, Exports & Imports business
- Maintaining and developing existing accounts
- Meet and exceed targets set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the department
- Conduct and report maximum number of sales leads and transform into revenue generating business
- Identify potential customers and register opportunities
- Regularly visit existing accounts, validate service levels and take necessary action
- Develop new revenue streams
- Negotiate with accounts as per price guidelines given with focus on profit maximization
- Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner
- Follow up with clients for outstanding supported by the finance controller
- Key accounts management
- Retaining existing customers
Desired candidate attributes:
- MBA - Marketing / International Business Development / Shipping & Logistics
- A minimum experience of 5-8 years in International Freight Forwarding Sales
- Good Customer database / contacts
- Strong communication skills and personality
- Comfortable to travel in city and the neighboring states
- Self-motivated and willing to work hard to exceed targets
- Analytical mindset and data driven decision making mentality
- Awareness of different social media profiles digging and online research
