Search Engine Marketing Manager

As the Manager of SEM efforts, the candidate will be expected to own and be responsible for driving Paid Search marketing initiatives. Working closely with other teams, he/she will plan, design campaigns, execute, measure, and optimize search engine marketing initiatives to further rapidly growing businesses.

- Drive customer acquisition for the company via search engine marketing.

- Plan and execute online search marketing programs, including campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, analysis, optimization, budget pacing and forecasting, keyword research and expansion, competitive benchmarking, and strategic portfolio insights.

- Work closely with Product, Technology and Sales teams and the rest of the Marketing team to strengthen performance of the company's SEM efforts. This could include developing brand new user-experiences on Site to optimizing pages to developing widgets to almost anything else!

- Derive actionable insights to improve performance, conversion rates, and lifetime customer value by partnering with data and analytics teams.

- Develop and evolve marketing reporting dashboards and analyze individual campaign performances.

- Provide regular performance updates to business owners and serve as the channel owner in making recommendations, sharing best practices, and alerting to new trends and emerging opportunities.

- Identify emerging online advertising technology and capabilities to improve program performance

Job Requirements:

- The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with a demonstrated track record of strong academic and professional performance. The position requires someone who is very proficient with Internet Marketing [SEM & SEO] best practices, is a strong communicator and influencer, possesses superior analytical skills and is comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced global environment.

- 5+ years of professional experience, incl. at least 3 years of Internet Marketing [SEM] experience with a proven track record in developing and executing marketing campaigns at different scales.

- Indepth understanding of key internet marketing metrics [CPC, CTR, Conversion Rate, etc.], SEM variables [Quality Score, PageRank, etc.] and Performance measures [esp. Lead-Gen and On-Site Conversions] and the ability to recognize how they might impact campaigns and business

- Marketing technology savvy and comfortable using Paid Search management tools [Adwords, AdCenter, SEM tools providers]

- Skill in identifying and executing against different campaign optimization strategies and techniques

- Strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on judgment

- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL a plus

- Superior oral and written communication skills, incl. comfort presenting to senior executives

- Strong analytical skills and ability to extract actionable insight from large quantity of data

- Fun, energetic and collaborative personality with self-starter approach to work

Education:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent in math, economics, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
