This is an urgent opening into SDM compensation accounting for a leading and reputed MNC located in Pune.

Please find below the JD:

Key Responsibilities :

- Supporting the financial accounting and reporting processes of the Compensation area with regards to Annual and Deferred Bonus Accruals, Bonus Audits, Trust Reporting, Pensions and Restructure

- Responsible for the delivery of their area the compensation accounting services and for relationships with Onshore and near shore teams. Guide and mentoring to other team members to deliver up to standards.

- Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual financial reporting for our key stakeholders

- Ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual financial reconciliations are performed to ensure accuracy of reported numbers and ensure that appropriate controls in the financial accounting and reporting process are applied

- Reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts back to instructions

- Prepare analytical reviews on monthly balance sheet and profit & loss movements by understanding the underlying business drivers

- Working with global CLIENT locations to ensure correct data is sourced

- Respond to location queries and resolution of any issues raised and build up a good network with your key business partners

- Ensure risks and issues in processes are identified, reported and escalated as appropriately as required

- Suggest process improvements to ensure an efficient and effective process,

- Ensure processes are consistent and in line with centralised model.

- Prepare and keep process descriptions up to date

- Ensure that service is being provided in timely manner with highest quality standards, especially during the month end close periods

- Ensure a productive working relationship is in place with Onshore and Offshore colleagues and updates are provided as required, on a timely basis

Manage ad hoc requests :

- Responsible for complete, relevant and up to date documentation (procedures, processes)

- Constructively challenge processes and responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective process is in place

- Providing ad-hoc analytical support

- Ready to work in shifts (CET shift)

Qualities, Skills, and Experience Required/Desired :

- Ambition to take on additional responsibility and grow career

- Qualified Accountant degree required (Finance/Accounting)

- CA Mandatory

- Strong Compensation Controlling knowledge

- 5+ years of experience with Finance/Audit/accounting background; Good understanding of Financial accounting principles

- Sound knowledge of accounting and managerial skills

- Fluent in English (verbal and written)

- Decision-making ability incorporates an appropriate balance of risk control and business needs

- Self-driven, flexible, detail oriented who can perform in a dynamic and international fast-paced setting

- Demonstrable senior-management-level speaking, writing, presentation-building, and presentation-delivery skills

- Exhibits courage and conviction in the face of contrary views

- Experience building and managing teams

- Knowledge of performance measurement and cost basis desired

- Team player with strong organizational skills and ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgement under pressure

Shift UK- 12 to 9 pm

Looking at candidates who are into end to end accounting working in BPO/KPOs or Candidates into audits working in Big4 firms.
