SCM Architect

1. MUST HAVE SKILL – TECHNOLOGIES AND ARCHITECTURE; Technical Solution architecture experience on a breadth of technologies like

a. Java related technologies and Frameworks – Core Java, J2EE (EJB 2.1, EJB 3.0), Struts, Spring, Hibernate etc

b. Any Middleware Platform (IBM, TIBCO etc) for integration with enterprise and external systems

c. Experience in defining and reviewing platform agnostic integration architecture – defining interface catalog, drive a POC, etc

d. Web services in SOAP, REST style models etc

e. Application Servers like JBOSS, Oracle App Server, WAS, WebLogic; Servlet containers like Tomcat; Web servers like Apache 2.x

f. Database platform like Oracle/MySQL that includes SQL tuning, data architecture

g. Build tools like Maven, ANT

h. Configuration Management and Deployment

i. Performance Engineering/Tuning

j. Infrastructure Capacity Sizing that includes understanding of hardware configurations

k. Monitoring and management tools – COTS or Open Source

2. MUST HAVE SKILL – Should be a PRACTISING ARCHITECT in the above-

l. Should be technical solution architect on large programs involving multiple technologies and platforms

m. Should have been the PRIMARY TECHNOLOGY LEADER on programs leading a team of architects from different technologies/platforms

n. Responsible for defining solution blueprint and architecture Models (Logical, End-to-End System,
Infra/Deployment)

o. Responsible for High level and Low Level design using DESIGN PATTERNS and Best Practices

p. Should be able to mentor and guide developers and designers

q. Should be hands-on (coding) when needed on the program like fixing performance/scalability issues, POC, troubleshooting in Complex and Technical areas etc

3. BIG PLUS SKILL – Should have worked on SUPPLY chain projects on any platform in the any one or more of the following areas:

r. Order Management

s. Warehouse Management

t. Transportation Management

u. Purchase Orders

v. Inventory Management

w. Etc

OR (SKILL #3 or SKILL #4)

4. BIG PLUS SKILL – Experience in the retail domain

x. Worked in the retail domain on any area like Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Merchandising

PROJECT/DELIVERY MANAGERS or DOMAIN/FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANTS OR PRODUCT/PLATFORM SME’s WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR SCREENING OR THE INTERVIEW. THE CANDIDATE SHOULD COME WITH TECHNOLOGY AND ARCHITECTURE EXPERIENCE AS INDICATED IN THE MUST HAVE SKILL.
