Role Overview:


- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Controller who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance, providing insightful financial analysis, and contributing significantly to the company's growth and strategic decision-making.


- The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, has worked with ERP solutions and is able to help the Company implement the same at opportune moment, has worked with Big4 and/or reputable auditor/s, and solid understanding of due diligence processes.

What you'll do:

Financial Leadership and Strategy:

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.

- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS, GAAP).

- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team.

- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

ERP Solution Implementation and Management:

- Lead and manage the implementation and optimization of ERP solutions to support the company's growth and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams especially tech teams to ensure seamless integration of financial modules within the ERP system.

- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes within the ERP environment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related financial issues.

Accounting and Compliance:

- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial records and transactions.

- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

- Oversee AR & AP and make sure vendor reconciliations are closed on time. Work with various teams and implement automation to ensure that

- Manage tax compliance, including direct and indirect taxes, and ensure timely filings.

- Establish and maintain strong internal controls in the Company.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Audit and Due Diligence:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors (including Big4) and manage the audit process efficiently.

- Prepare and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

- Implement audit recommendations and address any identified control weaknesses.

- Lead and manage financial due diligence processes for potential mergers, acquisitions, or investments.

- Analyse financial data and identify potential risks and opportunities during due diligence.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

- Participate in preparing the monthly MIS.

- Provide insightful variance analysis and performance reporting.

- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance.

- Identify areas of revenue and cost leakage and help the Company plug the same.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, investors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to non-financial stakeholders.

Profile:

- Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA)

- 11+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with exposure in leadership capacity.

- Proven experience with ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) at scale, including financial module configuration and optimization.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge and a thorough understanding of relevant accounting principles (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS, GAAP).

- Demonstrated experience working closely with Big4 or audit firms of national repute and managing the audit process.

- Hands-on experience in leading and managing financial due diligence processes.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record of developing and motivating finance teams.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.

- Experience working in a travel or fintech environment is a plus.
