SBU Head - Quality - FMCG

We are currently looking to close an SBU Quality Head position with the topmost FMCG Conglomerate in India. The position is to be based in Chennai

Purpose of the Job :

To lead the Quality Assurance Team, ensure sustainable quality of our products & services and provide technical expertise throughout the product development life cycle with a strong sense of ownership in order to strive towards business excellence, meet and exceed quality standards and customer expectations.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Develop central quality plan and work closely with production team to devise and review specifications for products and processes

- Conduct process & system audit and follow up to ensure adherence to SOP & specification of inputs to maintain the product quality as per targets

- Understand consumer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes

- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data

- Evaluation of vendors through Quality Data & system audit

- To devise right methodologies to ensure quality of raw materials from suppliers

- To provide timely resolution of defects identified in PQRS within agreed time to reduce defects to improve product quality

- Scan the environment for best practices and lead implementation of feasible quality approaches/techniques

Experience & Qualifications :

Essential :

- 15 - 20 years of hands on experience in Quality Assurance in the FMCG / Manufacturing industry.
- 
B.E. / B. Tech from a recognized institute (Tier1/ 2 Engineering colleges) or Post Graduates / Ph. D in Microbiology

Salary : Around Rs. 55.0-65.0 Lpa LPA
