Job Profile:

- To accomplish the Western Region operational activity, and escalate when necessary to Management.

- To ensure the appropriate staffing in the Operations Team and to drive future-oriented workforce planning, in line with productivity targets

- To effectively manage and be overall accountable for the performance of the operations teams.

- To ensure the implementation of operational Standards & Guidelines .

- To monitor operational performance of designated Branch Operations.

General Management and Leadership

- Drive effective and future-oriented resource planning in the organization, in line with productivity targets: place the right people into the right roles and hire talent with the right skills to make a career, not only to fill current vacancies.

- Effectively manage the performance of the OPS teams, coach and support the team leaders as necessary

- Escalate quality / performance issues to Management when necessary.

- Update and support rolling forecast estimates on a monthly basis

- Ensure strict adherence to the Code of Conduct

- Drive profitability.

- Ensuring profitability in the day-to-day operations

- Drive actions to maximize profit on file level and to eliminate loss-making files

- Ensure compliance.

- Ensure consistent achievement of operational standards to meet customer requirements.

- Manage and monitor productivity KPIs against budget, initiate corrective actions.

- Optimize and implement operational standards & guidelines and drive continuous improvement of operations Team.

- Evaluate and monitor operational risks, ensure contingency planning, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

- Good knowledge of all the products in Freight industry

- Market Knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)

Educational background / Work experience

- Minimum 5 years of Freight forwarding industry

- Minimum 3 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management
