About the Job:

In this role, the candidate is responsible for delivering the Revenue Budget for the prescribed portfolio of accounts. This will include developing a successful, consistent approach to local and international dealing, which drives maximum revenue and minimum cost of sale. One would gain maximum value for the airline by negotiating Commercial Agreements between parties. He would also engage in joint sales and marketing activity to grow the level and quality of revenue/yield sold through these partners and drive efficiencies in the distribution processes.

Accountability :

- Contributes to the formulation and implementation of Ethiopian Airline sales strategy to maximize short- and long-term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift.

- Introductions of Performance Link Bonuses where appropriate.

- Reviews Ethiopian Airlines sales data with account portfolio to drive revenue and seek tactical opportunities.

- Recommends pricing requests from Corporates/Trade and is responsible for individual budgets.

- Develops and maintains good relations with the Travel Trade, Government and Commercial Houses.

- Submit monthly sales call plans and weekly sales reports and update the trade and corporate houses about Ethiopian Airlines products and services.

- Provide management with any market intelligence on the strengths, weaknesses, threats and

- Opportunities for Ethiopian Airlines, events and recommend desired changes, with proper justification.

- Make every effort in acquiring sales leads and increasing awareness of Ethiopian Airlines products. Distribute timetables, giveaways and other marketing items.

- Make every effort to increase visibility of Ethiopian Airlines by displaying their marketing materials and ensuring maximum publicity through media coverage, in coordination with Commercial Manager and Head Office Marketing Department

- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions to ensure we get the best out of it as Ethiopian Airlines.

- Plan selling activities for the assigned areas to ensure optimum revenues for Ethiopian Airlines.

- Effectively manage accounts and key customers and effectively plan sales calls, submit sales call plans, and sales reports, as required. Update the trade and corporate houses about Ethiopian Airlines. products and services

Requirements:

- To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant Bachelor's degree combined with a minimum of 5 year airline sales experience working directly for an airline, or TMC environment. Prior exposure to the Ethiopian Airlines system, and the ability to interpret available data would be advantageous. The candidate should have strong excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with the ability to influence the negotiation of commercial contracts. He must be a team player, with strong organisational, planning and time management skills combined with good commercial awareness and business acumen. The ability to analyse and interpret data and then articulate to external customers is required.

- He must be fluent (written and oral) in English to be effective in this role.
