NOC Lead
Lead NOC Operations :
- This position provides overall direction and leadership to the operational activities of the Hosting Environments NOC (Network Operations Center).
Primary responsibilities include :
-Setting up, managing and Hosting 24 x 7 command centre.
Key Responsibilities :
- Training staff members to gradually take over L1+ and L2 task from senior team members.
- Owning event from its inception till closure and root cause analysis.
- Defining and configuring Event management process (entire event life cycle).
- Implement processes for monitoring/ alerting, systems maintenance and change control, and for automation opportunities.
- Managing staff members (such as employee reviews, time sheets, expenses). and defining NOC people management processes like handover.
- Define Practices to seamlessly onboard new customer to NOC.
- Ensure all routine L2 task has been carried out for all domains at customer premises.
- Ensure that up-to-date technical documentation exists for all services provided to our teams and take ownership for reporting.
- Identify and review potential new services that can be added in NOC management.
- Manage customer monitoring tools.
- Develop key dashboards for transparency of reporting uptime and other metrics as identified.
Qualification : 3+ Years of NOC experience.
- Prior experience in working in a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center.
- Knowledge on SolarWinds.
- Server OS knowledge - Windows (2008 & 2012) and Linux (RHEL).
- Experience with monitoring and patch management systems, like Microsoft System Center.
- Must have demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
