Salary offered: 12 - 18 LPA
Operations & Business Development Manager is a newly created position reporting directly to the Group General Manager to support the new implantation of the Company in India.
The main missions would be:
1) Build state-of-the-art operations and drive the customer contract:
- Install on-site operation in respect with company's quality, safety, ethics and cleanliness standards
- Hire employees to start operations inside industrial plants
- Monitor and make decisions about resources related to employees and infrastructures
- Set up annual budget according to internal procedures and policy
- Adapt workers abilities to the needs of the company and develop their skills
- Circulate EQS Management system, policy and objectives among the staff
- Communicate largely about the importance of clients- requirements accomplishment as well as normative regulations
- Make sure responsibilities and authorities of workers are set and well-known among the organization
- Ensure communication and reporting between the company and the client's team
2) Business development related to the starting-up of the new activity
- Analyse the market environment composed of OEMs & Tier 1 suppliers, foundries and steel mills customers
- Identify business development opportunities and forecast sales targets
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
- Determine financial orientations
- Identify potential customers and the decision makers within customers organizations
- Prospect, research and build relationships with new suppliers and customers
- Conduct competitive/market intelligence, technical benchmarking and convey feedbacks to the headquarters
- Define and implement the subsidiary's strategy in accordance with the Group General Manager and collaborate with him regarding globalized purchases/sales transactions
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and customers about prices, payments and contract conditions of services supplied
- Make decisions about the company operations as well as purchasing of materials/equipment according to the group rules
- Monitor authorization of orders in respect of internal Group procedures
Education : University degree in business, mechanical or environment engineering or other suitable education
- At least 7 years of managing experience, preferably in steel or foundry industry and/or automotive industry
- High appreciation of the Indian automotive industry market
- Negotiation and sales skills
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial control
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Highly trustful and reliable personality
- Team player, self-confident oriented
- Readiness to travel
- Written and spoken English (mandatory), French would be an advantage
