Role and the Person

The position is at the senior management level, accordingly the purpose and critical functions would be as follows:

SBU Purpose:

To sustain socio-economic well-being of bidi rollers

Function (Dept) Purpose:

To focus on welfare of bidi rollers

Role Purpose:

To facilitate access to relevant welfare measures

The Key Expectations of the Role:

- Coverage of rollers and children to plan

- Health

- Education

- Aid

- Needs and gaps assessment based annual plan-

The Competencies required to effectively take on this role:

- Knowledge of Govt. policies, schemes, and processes

- Awareness of socio-economic-cultural contexts (in all geographies)

- Understanding of development outcomes what, why and how

- Planning and costing skills

- Empathy

- High extension motive

The Person

A degree in MSW/any related field

Work experience of at least 9 years in the Welfare Department of a mid-sized firm
