JOB DESCRIPTION
As Director, Program Management at Sapient Global Markets, you will encompass all facets of project/program management, client management and team leadership. In this role you will typically act as an Engagement Lead and/or Client Executive which usually consists of being accountable for the delivery of large scale engagements to clients as well as managing the client relationship from a delivery and commercial standpoint.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage large, complex projects/programs of 50-100 people to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality.
Lead proposal efforts.
Lead multidisciplinary, globally distributed teams to deliver integrated client solutions that achieve measurable business results for our clients.
Manage the financial profitability of client engagements.
Build and manage client relationships at senior leadership level.
Identify and shape new business opportunities with new or existing clients.
Plan and help create engagements of work by leading estimation efforts and turn those into high and mid-level project plans.
Work with senior leadership in leading large scale transformation.
Manage and grow people.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Deep project/program management experience in delivering software solutions within the Capital Markets industry.
Experience delivering trading system implementations or custom software development projects within Investment Banking, Asset Management or Financial Services communities.
Extensive experience in consulting and/or client-facing role; business development and/or selling consulting services.
Extensive experience of leading technology projects and managing teams of 50+ people including project and product managers, business analysts, architects, developers and testers across multiple lifecycles through business and technical design phase.
Proven capability of leading a team of several delivery support functions like risk management, Agile adoption, etc.
Overall has a solid knowledge of software engineering practices. Able to compare and contrast different practices.
Strong change management experience; proven experience in driving change in past.
Extensive experience with Agile and Iterative Development (and/or other new methodologies).

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Industry recognized certification(s) is highly desirable
