Job description for SAP SRM SME Role:
Face-off for external and internal stakeholders:
- Be the point of expertise related to the area under consideration for both the customer as well as the internal team (delivery, RIT).
- This would involve inputs into building business system related roadmaps, strategies on what solution to position, provision of expertise related to architecture and processes, etc.
Delivery Support:
- Provide Solution Architecture guidance for identified projects
- Oversee and provide quality assurance on this topic by mentoring, monitoring and training delivery teams
Solution Support:
- Architect suitable solutions for opportunities in the related domain
- Contribute to proposal build, orals, etc. across the opportunity cycle
- Guide solution teams in putting together estimations
- Competency Build o Provide strategic direction to the competency build for the area in terms of areas of focus and related roadmaps
- Contribute to building expertise by mentoring, guiding and training as appropriate o Participate in external forums such as SCN, SAP TechEd, etc. as part of the competency agenda
Competencies Required :
- Engineering Qualifications with a Post Graduate qualification as a plus
Understanding of related Industry Processes and Business:
- Expertise in related SAP Solution areas; knowledge and experience of related Non-SAP solutions or best-of-breed/niche solutions will be an advantage
- Customer Facing Project Management experience
Experience Profile :
Must Have:
- Eight to Ten Years experience in SAP implementations
- Line Management experience in the related Industry / function
- A minimum of 4 End to End Implementations(SAP SRM) of which at least one is as a Project Manager for the related Industry / function
Experience with Global Delivery methodologies Expertise required on SRM are:
- Good exposure to SRM 7.0, SRM 7.01
- Bid Invitation, Quotation, Live auction
- Catalog Management
- Central Contract Management
- Centralized Sourcing in SRM - Sourcing Cockpit
- Confirmations of Materials and Services
- Purchase Order
- Working experience with SRM 7 classic scenario including punch-out catalog
- Working experience with SAP-MM including related transactions (requisition, purchase/framework order, and good receipt), vendors, material master, plant code, etc.
- Working experience with SRM 7 classic scenario including punch-out catalog
- Working experience with SAP-AP including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor and bank details (Order of importance is MM, SRM, then AP)

- Experience in Shopping Cart, Purchase Order, RFx and RFx Response, Confirmation, Invoice, SUS.
- Responsible for the Procurement team implementing SRM-EBP in classic scenario, BRF, Service procurement, Supplier Portal and Master data collaboration - Integration of SAP SRM with SAP MM ( Purchasing, Inventory Management, Logistics Invoice Verification, Physical Inventory, Material Valuation, Material Requirements Planning (MRP),External Services Management)
- Total 4+ years of exp in SRM (of which 2 yrs in SRM 7 & min 1 year in MM)
- Clear understanding of SRM technical scenarios, with relevant exp in SSP with catalog
- Exp with SRM org struc, master data replica & integration (with ECC, portal, PI , & MDM)
- Knowledge and exp in sourcing, RFx, auctions, & registration process is value add
- Knowledge of BADI- s, workflow, & guide ABAP team
- To take lead on SRM opportunities, & knowledge of ASAP methodology
- Good written & oral communication skills
