Role Summary:

The SAP Head will oversee the end-to-end SAP strategy, management, licensing, compliance, and vendor management across multiple manufacturing plants. This role ensures SAP solutions drive operational efficiency, optimize supply chain processes, and support digital transformation initiatives while maintaining cost-effective licensing and audit compliance.

Person should be able to Lead SAP FICO responsible for managing and optimizing SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes across multiple manufacturing plants. This role ensures smooth financial operations, cost control, compliance, and integration with other SAP modules

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Strategy & Leadership

- Define and execute the SAP roadmap for a multi-factory automotive setup.

- Lead SAP S/4HANA migration, system upgrades, and standardization across plants.

- Align SAP solutions with business objectives, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

SAP FICO Implementation & Optimization

- Lead SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation and enhancements across manufacturing plants.

- Ensure smooth integration of FI (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Product Costing).

- Streamline financial closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes using SAP tools.

- Support product costing and cost optimization strategies for automotive production.

- Optimize taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance within SAP FICO.

2. SAP Implementation & Optimization

- Oversee SAP modules relevant to automotive manufacturing: PP, MM, SD, QM, EWM, FI/CO, PM.

- Ensure smooth SAP integration across plants for real-time production monitoring and supply chain visibility.

- Implement predictive maintenance, quality control, and automation using SAP solutions.

3. SAP Licensing, Compliance & Audits

- Manage SAP licensing strategy to optimize costs and ensure compliance with SAP's licensing policies.

- Conduct SAP license audits and internal assessments to avoid non-compliance risks.

- Track SAP user access, indirect usage, and license utilization to maximize value.

- Stay updated on SAP contract terms, renewals, and pricing models.

- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate SAP license agreements and amendments.

4. SAP Vendor & Partner Management

- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and SAP.

- Manage relationships with SAP service providers, consultants, and third-party vendors.

- Ensure SAP partners deliver high-quality services and meet SLAs.

- Evaluate SAP's new offerings, upgrades, and product roadmaps for future adoption.

- Negotiate SAP support contracts to ensure cost efficiency and value addition.

5. Cross-Plant SAP Integration & Business Process Standardization

- Establish a unified SAP framework for production, logistics, procurement, and finance across all plants.

- Ensure seamless SAP integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), IoT, and connected vehicle platforms.

- Drive data standardization and harmonization across multiple factories.

6. Compliance, Security & Risk Management

- Implement SAP cybersecurity best practices, role-based access controls, and data protection measures.

- Continuously monitor SAP system performance and drive improvements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 20+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in automotive manufacturing.

- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and automotive-specific modules (PP, MM, SD, QM, EWM, IBP).

- Strong knowledge of SAP licensing models, contracts, and audits.

- Experience in multi-plant SAP rollouts, data harmonization, and global template design.

- Ability to manage SAP vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

- SAP Certified in S/4HANA Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance.

- PMP, ITIL, or SAP License Management certification is a plus.
