Brief Job Description

- The SAP Business Analyst is responsible for supporting all functions related to India’s Service Claims, IIL, and SAP Material across multiple business segments and companies. This includes supporting business projects through design and implementation of business solutions in SAP, and supporting the ongoing business operations.

- Further to the primary support duties this person will support GIS during SAP upgrades/maintenance, interfaces to other core business systems, interfaces to external systems including SAS ONTRAC, and help to define and support GIS processes.

Essential Functions

- Work closely with members of business functions (Finance, Warranty, Operations, etc) to facilitate effective solution implementations and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Super Users, Subject Matter Experts, and end-users.

- Analyze business process gaps and identify solution alternatives and guidance to business and IT stakeholders for selecting the best solutions necessary to close the gaps.

- Work closely with the development team to define programming requirements and test programming solutions.

- Provide functional support for master data governance and master data troubleshooting.

- Work closely with end-users to prioritize and manage completion of support tickets.

- Proactively participate in the integration between related SAP functions with other Business Analysts.

- Strong ability to lead discussions with the business to analyze, configure, and model processes in SAP.

- Modify, test, and validate system configuration. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

- Build and execute unit testing, integration, and regression testing (build test cases, perform tests, and make changes to configuration or processes based upon results).

- Facilitate knowledge transfer, communication, and interaction between various functional organizations and the Information Technology department.

- Document and control all changes made to production systems via change control process.

- Highly accountable and naturally works well in a team setting to seek innovative solutions and can identify, design, and configure the system to meet the company’s users’ business requirements

- Possess the ability to work on a number of deadline driven projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency

- Able to demonstrate an intense attention to detail

- Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills

- Effective interfacing with business customers on a daily basis as well as when working on assigned project work

- Competent articulating ideas, options, and solutions to both business and IT teams alike

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team dynamic to provide functional support and business solutions

- Experienced conducting workshops to facilitate continuous improvement in the implemented design, while transferring knowledge to end-users to achieve greater competency in utilizing the SAP system functionality as designed.

Other Requirements

- Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to support project implementations, application changes and/or conversions that are required to be done during non-peak hours that do not impact normal business operations

Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering

- experience in support of business application systems including analysis, functional, and technical design testing

- Strong skills working with BW a plus

- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required

- Cross-functional business experience is a must

- Experience working for a manufacturing and distribution company is strongly desired.
