SAP ABAP Manager - IT

1. Solution Design and Architecture:

- Engage with business owners to gather requirements and design tailored SAP solutions.

- Develop comprehensive solution architectures that integrate SAP modules with custom applications.

- Ensure solutions align with business goals and technical standards.

2. SAP ABAP Development:

- Utilize ABAP programming skills to design, develop, and enhance SAP applications.

- Create and optimize reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEF), and workflows.

- Implement custom solutions using BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots.

3. Custom Application Development:

- Design and develop custom applications to extend SAP functionalities.

- Collaborate with functional teams to understand and implement business processes.

- Prepare technical specifications, develop code, and conduct testing.

4. Business Interaction and Requirements Analysis:

- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.

- Conduct workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present solutions.

5. System Integration and Networking:

- Integrate SAP systems with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.

- Develop and maintain interfaces using ALE/IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services.

- Ensure robust and secure networking configurations to support SAP solutions.

6. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

- Provide expert-level technical support for SAP applications and custom solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP and custom applications.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.

7. Project Management and Collaboration:

- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion.

- Work closely with project managers, functional consultants, and business users. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
