IT Applications is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with an extensive background in building scalable and innovative solutions for human resources. This role will join an IT Applications group dedicated to supporting the Employee Success (HR) organization here at Salesforce. Our ideal candidate enjoys working in dynamic and high-growth environments and is experienced in managing complex projects in support of an overall HR philosophy and strategy. We are looking for candidates with deep expertise with business analysis and Workday HCM, Recruiting and Payroll.

Responsibilities:

- Work effectively with Employee Success (HR) and IT to identify, document and prioritize requirements for Workday systems

- Write functional specifications for new functionality, configure system changes within Workday

- Partner with ES and IT tams to evaluate how best to use Workday technology to meet evolving business requirements and information needs

- Help manage and share information from Workday Community with the IT team and Employee Success teams; This includes logging brainstorms, monitoring release notes and sharing details on webinars.

- Ensure solutions promote simplification, accuracy and an increasingly higher level of productivity for users.

- Provide functional support during technology upgrades/implementations and work successfully as a liaison with Employee Success, IT, and other partners

- Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute testing in support of system and user acceptance testing

- Ensure that new configuration meets end-users needs

- Play an advisory role to the team and the customer when designing and configuring new features within Workday

- Become an expert in the business process of the customer and play the role of advocate for customer needs

- Support the implementation of change management activities by organizing UAT, authoring release communications, updating Chatter, creating training materials, and delivering training to IT Support teams

- Partner with the IT and ES support organizations to provide training, support and technical assistance to end users

- Participate in Agile scrum team, responsible as business analyst and central subject matter expert

Required Skills

- Bachelors Degree, with 8 years as an HR Business Analyst or similar function

- Experience with Workday HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll and related technologies

- Guide internal customers through the entire project lifecycle

- Negotiate detailed requirement and solution design trade-offs

- Contribute to cross-functional and cross-technical dependency management

- Provide guidance to the portfolio roadmap for other teams/functions

- Anticipate and communicate blockers, conflicts, and obstacles

- Connect-the-dots between business strategies and project deliverables

- Leads the writing of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

- Assists with backlog grooming of new enhancement requests

- Expert knowledge in business process analysis, requirements and design, data modeling, detailed functional design, test planning, and UAT execution

- Implementation and support experience with global HR systems from gathering and documenting complex business requirements through testing and production rollout

- Change management skills including communication, testing, training and business system and process transformation

- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines

- Willing to receive direction and guidance within a team environment, adopt and develop best practices and circumnavigate obstacles with creative technical solutions

Desired Skills/Experience:

- Implementation and support experience with other global HCM and compensation planning systems (e.g. Workday, Peoplesoft, Workscape)

- Experience with the Salesforce.com platform and related cloud or web based technologies

- Experience with Use Case modeling

- Certified Salesforce.com Administrator

- Experience with AGILE development methodology

- Knowledge of web applications and custom force.com applications
