Sales and Trading desk markets fixed income securities to retiral funds, cooperative banks, mutual funds, banks and insurance companies. The objective is to earn margin by selling/ buying at a spread over interbank market.
Requirements :
- Responsible for client facing Interest rate sales by participating in GSec and permissible Credit products to maximise profit, while adhering to all processes, rules and guidelines.
- Add new clients to bank's relationship portfolio and solicit new business opportunities.
- Process related to on boarding of new clients including KYC, systems and limits setup etc.
- Assessing client demand across various debt products as per regulatory investment framework.
- Soliciting client bids for all kinds of debt auctions through regular client engagement.
- Building sales book for catering to client demands profitably.
- Generate fee income through participation in primary debt issuances.
- Earn margin income through secondary market turn-over while facilitating client requirement of all kind of debt products.
- Sourcing illiquid securities from direct clients and through broking market and striking back to back trades to earn risk-free margin.
Major Deliverables :
- Margin income from selling securities from the prop/sales book.
- Margin from back to back trades
- Market feedback from clients so as to enable desk in building the book.
Competencies required :
- 4-5 years of experience in sales of fixed income products
- Full understanding of regulatory investment pattern of Retiral Funds and Insurance companies
- Very good understanding of interest rates markets and macro-economic variable
- Very good relationships with target client segments
- Good Inter-personal skills
- Willingness to travel
Educational Qualification :
- CA/MBA from a reputed institute.
