Job Purpose Summary:
The incumbent will have the responsibility of:
- Originating and executing, Trade transactions in assigned jurisdictions working towards asset generation targets.
- Developing Trade capabilities and strategy.
- Proactively contributing to achieve strategic Transaction Banking goals.
- Supporting the Transaction Banking product cross-sell.
- Driving exceptional performance and working closely with the Transaction Banking team to identify and execute large ticket trade business opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- Identify and create new business opportunities to grow the client base and market share.
- Develop and implement marketing and customer call plans with respect to Trade products across Group to achieve the agreed financial targets.
- Responsible for trade deal origination, deal execution.
- Responsible for the financial performance of trade assets over the lifetime of the transaction.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
- Develop and maintain strong deal pipeline and trade target market to enhance the overall client proposal on markets.
- Actively participate and represent on trade forums.
- Establish personal relationships with trade customers.
- Attend trade customer calls, lead the business discussion and design the appropriate transaction structure (Term Sheet and proposal letter drafting) for the customers.
- Discuss pricing proposition, transaction structure and asset distribution strategy with relationship/risk management and agree on the same with customers.
- Negotiate and execute deal documentation with customers and oversee the entire deal implementation process.
- Draft special instructions to operations if required for the deal.
- Work close with relationship management to ensure the best in class customer service, smooth and timely implementation of trade deals on markets.
- Safeguarding the interests and reputation towards the client community and the market in general.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Drive the transaction execution process and assume deal ownership.
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all other related departments and units in Country to achieve the Sales goals.
- Implement solutions with respect to trade products and harmonize the initiatives with the transaction banking business objectives of the Country.
- Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
- Maintain high documentation standards both internally and externally.
- Work with Corporate Relationship Management to support the trade business objectives.
- Work with Risk Management, Financial control, Compliance and Legal to ensure the control around the trade product proposition.
- Prepare deal review materials for structured trade transactions, identify key risks and mitigants in relation to the trade structure and provide the relevant structuring input for credit approvals.
- Work with Operations, Information Technology and Treasury to ensure the smooth and timely transaction execution.
D. Learning & Knowledge:
- Create customer-focused presentations, Trade pitch books and enhance ability to deliver a powerful and compelling trade proposition to its current and targeted trade customers.
- Continuous improvement of credit knowledge, local market and structuring skills;
- Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations in relation to trade products
E. Other:
- Ensures high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
- All other ad hoc duties and/or activities related to that management may request of the employee from time to time
Education/Experience Requirements:
- BA / MBA degree in Finance (preferred), with a minimum of 7 years experience in banking.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Additional fluency in Arabic is useful)
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
- Minimum 5 years international experience in an international financial institution and interaction with diverse environments and different cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project and cross functional relationships.

Operating Environment/ Location:
- The referenced position will be based in Country.

- Delegated authorities as per the delegation of authority structure.
Communications and Working Relationships:
- Direct reporting line to the Senior Manager Transaction Banking
- Regular interaction with Corporate Relationship Management, Risk Management, Operations, Financial Control, Information Technology, Legal and Compliance.
- Regular interaction with the Head of Corporate & Institutional and Country General Manager(in Country).
