Sales & Operations Planning Manager - Beverages

The role is with a Beverages company dedicated to providing high-quality juices, tetra packs, canned beverages, and bottled water across Africa. We pride ourselves on innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional products to our consumers.

The S&OP Manager will play a crucial role in aligning supply and demand across our product lines. This position involves coordinating between various departments, including sales, marketing, production, and logistics, to optimize inventory levels, enhance service levels, and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Planning:

- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for juices, tetra packs, cans, and bottled water.

- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to incorporate market insights and promotional activities into forecasts.

2. Supply Planning:

- Coordinate with production and procurement to ensure alignment of supply capabilities with demand forecasts.

- Manage inventory levels to balance customer service and working capital requirements.

3. S&OP Process Management:

- Lead the monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring participation from key stakeholders across the organization.

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service levels, and forecast accuracy.

4. Collaboration:

- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

- Act as the primary point of contact for S&OP-related inquiries.

5. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the S&OP framework.

- Implement best practices and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

6. Market Analysis:

- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform S&OP strategies.

- Stay updated on regional developments affecting supply chain dynamics in Africa.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

- 5+ years of experience in S&OP, demand planning, or supply chain management, preferably in the beverage industry.

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in forecasting and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle or similar tools).

- Knowledge of Advance Excel & Power BI Tool

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Familiarity with the African market dynamics and supply chain challenges is a plus.
